This past weekend was the 24th annual mother daughter weekend for my dad's side. And no, I didn't take any pictures(I forgot my camera,
of course) Since my mom took off for Hawaii, it was just me, Carlee, Whitney, and Amylia, plus 12 or so extended family members.
It would have been fun if Jackson hadn't decided to get the flu the day before we were supposed to take them to Scott's parents house in Logan. Keep in mind that I had been looking forward to this weekend for at least a month. It was supposed to be my first kid free weekend in a looong time. Me and my sisters were planning on getting a hotel that weekend instead of staying with everyone else at my aunts house. So Jackson got sick, and I couldn't bear to leave him at Scott's parents house, even though they are great, because he is such a mommy's boy and how sad is it to be sick when you're little and missing your mom, and have to sleep in a strange bed in a new place?
We ended up leaving Bailee, but I had to drag Jackson around shopping with me all weekend and sleep at my own house instead of in a hotel. Needless to say, I was bummed. Luckily Scott was able to take him Saturday night up to his parents house to pick up Bailee, and they stayed the night, so I got 24 kid free hours. Poor Scott was stuck with 2 barfing kids up in Logan because Bailee ended up getting really sick Saturday night too.
We ate at Gardeners Village Saturday night and then went to the play "Big River", which was actually kind of cute. Whitney and Amylia couldn't stop drooling over the hottie who played Huck Finn. I tried googling him, but I couldn't find a picture. He's not bad if you're into the scrawny, voice-still-changing type of guy.
Sunday we went to see the Mormon Tabernacle choir, and then ate at my favorite, The Cheesecake Factory. Somehow it didn't taste as good as usual, maybe it was my guilty concience for eating out on a Sunday. The chocolate coconut cream cheescake was quite delicious though.
So there you have it! I did enjoy my few Jackson free hours!
